Meet The Hebridean Baker & The Highland Hutter 

Join us at Brodie Countryfare on Friday 24th of November and meet the fabulous Hebridean Baker, Coinneach MacLeod. This year we have The Highland Hutter, Peter MacQueen joining us.

Coinneach will be joining us from 3pm to 5pm for a book signing of his new cookbook The Hebridean Baker At Home - a fresh selection of wholesome, rustic recipes, charming stories and breath-taking photography from the Outer Hebrides.

We will have his cookbooks and a selection of his scrumptious, homemade treats available to purchase in-store.

Hebridean Baker, Baker At Home

Hebridean Baker at Home, inspired by family recipes, comforting bakes and Scottish flavours, showcases Scotland’s extensive larder and brings us flavourful dishes with a story to tell. The cookbook is filled with dishes full of Celtic recipes and Christmas bakes from Double Dram Cake to Marmalade Shortbread, Ecclefechan Tarts and Salmon Wellington. There's plenty of treats to make every Scot and lover of Scotland flock to their kitchens!

 

About the Author

Coinneach MacLeod was born and raised in Cromore on the Isle of Lewis. Inspired by traditional family recipes and homegrown produce, Coinneach’s debut cookbook Hebridean Baker, Recipes and Wee Stories from the Scottish Islands and over 20 million video views online has inspired millions around the world to bake, forage, learn Gaelic, enjoy a dram or two of whisky and to seek a more wholesome, simple life. Along with his partner Peter and their Westie pup Seòras, Coinneach’s aim is to bring the best of the Scottish islands to a worldwide audience.

About the Author 

Fàilte!  Welcome!  Peter MacQueen is a passionate hutter, and has been ever since his family built their hut on the Argyllshire coast.  

Presenter of BBC Alba's Gardening and Lifestyle series; Gàrradh Phàdruig (Peter's Garden) alongside his partner Coinneach AKA the Hebridean Baker and their Westie dog, Seòras.  Now his debut book 'The Art of Hutting' will be published on 9 November 2023
